Investing in orthodontic treatment is to invest in a patient’s overall dental, medical and psychological well-being as well. We have dedicated ourselves to helping to make the very best care affordable to you! When it comes to your family’s teeth, you should not settle for less than what you want and deserve. Financial considerations and hardships should never be an obstacle to achieving a beautiful smile. We understand that different patients have different needs when it comes to fulfilling financial obligations, and that is why we are proud to provide multiple payment options.

*We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) in addition to offering in-house financing or through CareCredit®.

CareCredit®

Accepted at over 150,000 locations, CareCredit® can help make your medical treatments – even veterinary services – more affordable with a personal line of credit for qualifying expenses. CareCredit® gives you flexibility with 0% interest for up to 24 months on approved services and treatments, and a low 14.90% APR for up to 60 months thereafter. Learn more about CareCredit® here.

In-House Financing

In-house financing has 0% interest fees after making a down payment, and the remainder of the cost is spread out over the estimated treatment time. Even if treatment is completed sooner, you still enjoy the same planned payment schedule!

Insurance

When you first visit our office, bring your current insurance card with you. If you change insurance companies or join another employer’s plan, please be sure to let us know. If an insurance referral is necessary, please bring the completed form with you to your appointment.

We will fully attempt to help you receive full insurance benefits; however, you are personally responsible for your account, and we encourage you to contact us if your policy has not paid within a reasonable timeframe. If we are not contracted under your insurance, you will be given a copy of services and charges to file with your insurance claim form.

Each orthodontic case is different and fees will vary. Once we know which type of orthodontic treatment is needed, we will be able to tell you what the exact fee is and approximately how much of that fee your insurance company will cover. We can then review the financial arrangements to determine how we can make the fees attainable for you.

Insurance and Billing

Our staff will help to determine your dental benefit as estimated by your insurance carrier. Please remember that the financial obligation for dental treatment is between you and our office. The insurance company is responsible to you and not us.

Orthodontic Insurance Coverage

Insurance for orthodontic services is provided through a contract between your employer and a dental insurance company. The coverage you receive is based solely on the terms negotiated between these two organizations.

Orthodontic offices are not involved in determining which services are covered, the percentage of the fee that’s covered or whether a specific service is covered at all.

Not all treatment, including some high-quality services, is covered by dental insurance. While our goal is to provide you with the highest possible quality of care, insurance companies often cover only very basic services. These covered services are identified according to the cost of the insurance policy to your employer and the amount your insurance company is willing to pay.

If you have orthodontic insurance, it’s part of your overall dental insurance coverage. However, orthodontic coverage works differently than your general dental coverage or your other types of medical insurance.

Why Won’t My Insurance Plan Pay the Entire Fee?

Many patients are not aware that dental insurance usually places a limit on how much it will pay toward any orthodontic fee. The insurance company only covers a portion of the entire fee up to a lifetime maximum payment. This means that the insurance company will cover only part of the patient’s orthodontic fee and will pay only once in the patient’s lifetime or for as long as you have the policy for orthodontic treatment.

This insurance is one-time maximum coverage and is separate from the annual maximum that you use for your general dental visits. While your general dental policy also has an annual maximum, every year that amount is renewed. Unfortunately, orthodontic coverage is not renewable from year to year.

Insurance Claims

To make the process easier for you, our orthodontic office will be happy to help by submitting insurance information to your dental insurance company. If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them and help you through the process.
